CULTIVATE
(verb)
cul·ti·vate

Definition: to prepare or prepare and use for the raising of crops.
36 When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”
- Matthew 9:36–38.
In partnership with SEND NC, this year-long cohort exists to cultivate healthy pastors, healthy churches, and healthy multiplication.

In Cultivate, you’ll build relationships with other pastors  who desire to grow as leaders and as men. You’ll be known, challenged, encouraged, and prayed for.

A SEASON OF INVESTMENT

Gospel-Centered

We emphasize the centrality of the gospel in everything that we do. Our aim is not just the what of ministry but the why of ministry.

Multiplication

We emphasize reaching the lost and growing individuals as disciples of Jesus. So that every church is maturing and multiplying.

Strategy

We focus on strategic planning, to be good stewards,  for the glory of God.

Future

We supply resources that are meant to grow pastors both theologically and in terms of leadership capacity, to better serve the church.

Care

We are intentional with pastor’s souls, their family, and ministry to help them be healthy disciples of Jesus.

Community

We create environments where relationships can develop for a lifetime of ministry and missional collaboration.

The Cultivate Cohort has been an excellent source of encouragement for the mission, connection with like-minded brothers, and it has brought us clarification on our vision as a church. I would highly recommend it for pastors looking to move the needle on becoming a multiplying church.

- Sam Watson, Straightway Church (Zebulon, NC)

There's no shortage of ways church planting can overwhelm you. The leading, the teaching, the counseling, the preaching. It all hits at once. Someone once described it as building a chicken coop in a hurricane. That's why the Cultivate Cohort has meant so much. Seasoned pastors walking alongside us, offering feedback and real care. It's been exactly what we needed to flourish at Mission Church.

- Billy Glosson, Mission Church (Morganton, NC)

Cultivate Cohort has been an incredible tool to accelerate my team's growth in practical and actionable ways as we seek to see more people know Christ and grow in Him.

- Matt Morgan, Integrity Church (Greenville, NC)

APPLY TODAY

We are taking applications for the 2026-2027 cohort.

Brotherhood matters. Accountability matters. Shared wisdom matters.

Being part of the Cultivate Cohort has been both encouraging and helpful: encouraging to be in a peer-learning environment with fellow church pastors and planters, and helpful to have space to re-focus on vision, mission, and strategy matters with excellent coaching and content on how to move forward.

- Gary Combs, Eastgate Church (Wilson, NC)

Of all the cohorts I’ve done, this has been by far the most effective in many ways. After each gathering, I’ve gone back with knowledge and tools that driven positive change and results at the church. The leadership from the Redeemer staff and the brotherhood among the other cohort pastors has been life giving.

- Bill Dumphy, GracePointe Church (Williamsburg, VA)

The practical plans have been the biggest win. Very grateful!!!!!

- Jordan Penley, The King's Table Church (Raleigh, NC)
