Ed Moore has been the lead pastor of North Shore Baptist Church since 1992. He is originally from Dubois, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Columbia International University. He and his wife, Anna, live in Bayside, New York. They have four adult children and eleven grandchildren.

Michael Cheng has been a pastor at North Shore Baptist Church since May 2016. He is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton, where he studied Biology. He is currently studying at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been an ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) Certified Biblical Counselor since 2023. Mike grew up in Queens and loves the NY Mets. He is married to Kelly and has four children.

Cade McDonald has served at North Shore Baptist Church since January of 2023. He oversees children, youth, and young adult ministries. He grew up in Austin, Texas and is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and Reformed Theological Seminary (NC). Cade has been married to his wife Tess since May of 2018 and they enjoy reading books, drinking coffee, and playing sports of all kinds.

Ivan Candelier has been an elder at North Shore Baptist Church since February of 2025. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, he is a graduate of Manhattan College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Ivan is married to Elissa and they have two sons. His interests include evangelism, apologetics, and rooting for the NY Mets and Miami Dolphins.

Brian Kil has been a pastor at North Shore Baptist Church since September 2020. He is a graduate of Binghamton University. Brian grew up in Queens and has lived most of his life in New York City. He loves his New York Knicks and Rangers (though they don't seem to love him back). Brian and his wife Niki have six children.

Geneva has been on staff at North Shore since August of 2023. She previously served as a missionary in Mexico and Canada. She grew up in many places, but has always considered Chattanooga, Tennessee home. Geneva enjoys her family, being outside, and reading most any kind of book.

Jerry has faithfully served NSBC since 2007 by assisting the staff. He loves the Mets and remains hopeful that one day they will win it all.

Dan Suh has been the music director at North Shore Baptist Church since June 2020. He is a graduate of Cornell University, where he studied Human Biology, Health, and Society, and of NYU. Dan currently also works as a UX Researcher and lives in Flushing, where he grew up, with his wife Mary. They enjoy eating good food and spending time with friends in their free time.


Morgan was born and raised in Rocky Mount, NC. For the past 12 years, Morgan has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Morgan has been deeply drawn to the kid’s ministry at Redeemer and feels a strong calling to be a part of it. Morgan lives in Nashville, NC with her husband, Ted, and her two children, Riley and Levi.


Gray was born and raised in Rocky Mount and attended ECU for undergraduate. Prior to joining the Redeemer Team, she served in a school setting for 9 years. Gray's family joined Redeemer shortly after the church was planted. She has loved serving in Redeemer Kids and watching the church grow. Gray and her husband, Tre, have 3 boys.

Elizabeth grew up in Raleigh and attended UNC-Greensboro for undergraduate. She spent almost a decade in the classroom prior to joining the Redeemer Team. Elizabeth lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Will, and their daughter.


Rebekah, a Maryland native, attended Liberty University, where she met her husband, Zach. Together, they are the proud parents of three children. She is certified in early child education and has a Montessori certification. With over seven years of experience in childcare, Rebekah brings dedication and compassion to her role.

Our check-in is located in the lobby. If this is your first Sunday, you will find a Redeemer Kids volunteer at our Kids Check-In Desk, ready to help you get your child placed in their classroom.
You’ll receive a unique tag for your child that you will retain for pickup.
You can pre-register your child on the Church Center app.
Scan the QR code at the check-in station, and your child’s tag will automatically print.
