INTRODUCTION
The name of our year-long series, The Road to Emmaus, comes from one of the most incredible scenes in the New Testament. Just after the resurrection of Jesus, two disciples are walking along the road that leads to the village of Emmaus. As they are walking, Jesus appears to them and begins explaining how the entire Bible was really all about Him. Luke's account of Jesus's words shows us how we should read the entirety of the Bible: it is all about Jesus.
As we make our way through the Bible in a year, our church and community groups will all move towards the goal of: SEEING CHRIST IN ALL OF SCRIPTURE. Use the companion booklet below, as you study, to trace the story of redemption that ties together all of the stories found in the sixty-six books of your Bible. We have one story, about one Messiah, who is the one way to salvation.
